Description
This clock is a mystery. It looks identical to a Lenzkirch model 13 table clock from Lenzkirch's first catalog in 1851. It is signed L. Japy Fils. I have long thought that Japy was the French clock maker who supplied Lenzkirch with unfinished movements in the beginning before they began making their own movements. However, I have never found a way to prove this theory. Could this clock be the missing link between Lenzkirch and Japy? This clock should run for 2-weeks plus. I'm still test running it and will know the duration when it runs down. This clock is in amazing condition for its age. I have never had one in more original condition. Don't miss out on this one. You will not find another one better. I have looked for this clock for over 35 years. SALE PENDING
