Description
This is a very interesting piece. It is a French table clock in a bronze and alabaster case with a woman statue holding a horn. I believe this is the Goddess Pheme but not sure. Some say with the serpent hands she is Medusa but she doesn’t have the snake hair and I have never seen Medusa with a trumpet or horn. It is an early piece having silk string suspension dates it to 1840 or before. It has a glass dome and measures 18 inches high. This clock ships from Michigan.
