Description
This is a very early Lenzkirch 1-Weight Vienna Style Regulator serial number 39293, circa 1857. That makes it 161 years old. The movement has just been cleaned and oiled and is running perfectly. These early clocks were of such high quality and fine workmanship that it has virtually no wear al all. It is as tight as the day it was made. The case still has the original finish. The weight, pendulum, and pulley are also original and the porcelain dial with seconds bit is perfect with no cracks. The winding key is a replacement. The carved top is a reproduction made by our master carver in Europe. The bottom of the case had to be repaired and was fitted with a new reproduction Lenzkirch finial. This is a very nice example of a very early Lenzkirch regulator that is getting harder and harder to find. It is being offered at a very affordable price because of the replacement casework that was done. You cannot buy a better clock for the money.
